Vision to Practice: Operationalizing Portrait of a Graduate

How are you empowering learners today - and preparing them for tomorrow? As technology, work, and society continue to evolve, the skills students need are changing. Employers and communities are looking beyond passive, knowledge-based learning toward creative problem-solving, analytical thinking, collaboration, communication, and design. This interactive leadership workshop brings together Apple’s innovation frameworks and New York’s Redefining Ready NY Cohort to help districts move the Portrait of a Graduate from aspiration to action. Participants will explore how to develop durable, future-ready skills through challenge-based learning, thoughtful use of technology and AI, and practical approaches to managing change - without overwhelming existing systems.  Presenter: Randy Squier, Superintendent, Coxsackie-Athens CSD & Facilitator of Redefining Ready NY.
