Redefining Ready NY

Redefining Ready NY
Join a New York-based cohort of school leaders committed to advancing the AASA “Redefining Ready” initiative, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to college, career, and life readiness for all students, and structured around the four transformations of the NYS Blue Ribbon Commission – adopting the New York State Portrait of a Graduate, redefining credits to focus on proficiency, decoupling Regents assessment from graduation requirements, and moving to one diploma. The Redefining Ready initiative, in tandem with New York State Education Department’s goals, emphasizes student preparedness in a personalized and multidimensional way, ensuring that students graduate ready to succeed academically, socially, and professionally. This includes implementing new readiness metrics, and expanding work-based learning and college pathways.
