This information-rich discussion reviews healthcare options and considerations for retirees both younger than 65 and beyond 65 (Medicare).

For you and your someone special

Preparing for the inevitable is a tough discussion. It’s one that many people find difficult to have, especially with those closest to them. Invite your spouse, partner, parent or adult child(ren) who will be by your side and learn how to initiate an open, thoughtful dialogue with your family as you plan. Some topics covered: where to find important documents and key contacts; who should care for loved ones and minors; and who you want to handle decision-making if you become incapacitated.

Collecting income from a post-retirement job can impact your financial situation negatively if not planned accordingly. We’ll review how working post-retirement impacts your social security, taxes, and pension.

Guaranteed income in retirement via pension and social security benefits is a wonderful thing. But how do you allocate your other investments to better complement your income streams?  We’ll briefly review the types of investment accounts, how they work, and some allocation considerations. Then we will dive into the markets today and outline things you need to know.

Legacy Planning

You’re fortunate to be building significant retirement assets as a NYS Superintendent. If the worst happens and you leave it all behind to beneficiaries, what do the different assets and retirement income streams mean to them? We’ll talk about pension implications, what you need to know about asset transfers to beneficiaries and, maybe most importantly, what it means to them.
