New Superintendents Orientation
During this two-day orientation, meet with other new superintendents from around the state and learn about how NYSCOSS can support you through advocacy, legal services, and LEAF programs. We will discuss why leadership matters and your first year as superintendent; year-long timelines, the benefits of leadership coaching; superintendent evaluations and conflict resolution. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet with the Commissioner and her team at the New York State Education Department and take a tour of the historic building. Experienced superintendents will lead roundtable discussions.

Cost: $409 for NYSCOSS members; $439 non-members. Includes meals and materials.

Hotel: There is a room block reserved at the Renaissance Hotel in Albany for July 30 - August 1 at the rate of $189 per night. Reservations deadline is July 15, 2023. Book your reservations online here.
