2017 Leadership Summits



Supporting Women in Educational Leadership Summit /  Cabinet Leadership Summit

May 18 & 19, 2017 / Saratoga Springs Embassy Suites

$200 per person each day / $350 if attending both

For the first time, The Council and LEAF, Inc. are holding these two events back-to-back in Saratoga Springs, NY. Both events are in partnership with Capital Region BOCES and BOCES Aid is also available.

The Women’s Initiative Summit will focus on supporting women educational leaders to inspire more women to seek leadership positions in education. The program will feature Commissioner of Education Mary Ellen Elia; Apple, Inc. executives to draw parallels from the business world to the education world; and compensation negotiation for women.  Download 5-18-17 DRAFT AGENDA.pdf

The annual Cabinet Leadership Summit is designed to bring assistant and deputy superintendents, directors and principals together as well as other school leaders from across New York State. Our goal is to cultivate an annual event which promotes community and the opportunity to share knowledge and develop stronger connections with statewide colleagues. This year's event will feature Ebony Bridwell-Mitchell, Harvard Graduate School of Education on organizational leadership. Council Executive Director Charles Dedrick will discuss The Council's vision for cabinet leadership.
