The Superintendent Resource Bank (SRB) involves over 150 superintendents with a desire to respond to requests for information and advise colleagues. Responses come in the form of materials and concise answers to questions on financial, pedagogical and other matters. Often contact information is also provided so a dialogue can be established for sharing experiences.
To access the Resource Bank, simply . This will generate an email message to Vren Gonzalez, Programs and Resource Development Associate. The Council will send your request to SRB members without identifying information (name or district). As responses are received, they will be forwarded back to the person making them. The typical turn around time is 3-5 days.
We encourage questions on a wide range of topics, some listed below. As you make a request, be as specific as possible. Also ensure privacy laws are respected and any student or faculty information is redacted. Examples of requests recently received include:
- Does anyone have experiences with a major high school construction project and how to ensure educational programming is continued?
- Would anyone have developed a policy to meet the new federal wellness guidelines required by July 1, 2006? If so, could I receive a copy?
- Has anyone done elementary redistricting recently that could share ideas and cautions about this process?
