Plans and Reports School districts are required to prepare and submit well over 100 plans and reports annually. This is an arduous, time-consuming task. The Council has been working with legislators and SED to reduce these mandates, focusing on substance over form. Our goal, provide needed information in a more simple, concise format. Pursuing this effort, our white paper demanding Mandate Relief defines the types of required reports and assesses a relative cost for each. This persuasive document is continually referred to by policymakers as we seek mandate relief. The paper is provided here. In addition, we share SED's compilation of required reports as well specific forms required for certain purposes. We continue to pursue sweeping mandate relief as well as incremental progress. |
