The Aspiring Superintendent workshop is a one-day program offered in Albany. School leaders with an interest in the superintendency are encouraged to attend.

This two-day program is an introduction to The Council and LEAF, Inc. and includes a discussion with the Commissioner of Education and key SED staff, as well as presentations on communicating with stakeholders, developing a strong relationship with school board members, advocacy, and instructional leadership.

The Summer Institute at Harvard University provides an opportunity to hear from distinguished Harvard faculty, focus on key leadership issues and engage in personal reflection. Registration is limited to 30 superintendents and assistant superintendents.
